How does it work?ScreenSafer/400 integrates seamlessly with the OS/400
operating system. As each user signs on ScreenSafer/400 will be activated. An automatically
activated background job monitors for work-station inactivity. Screen MessagesOnce ScreenSafer/400 has taken control of a
work-station, a randomly selected interesting quote, fact or humorous quip is displayed in
the center of the screen. Additionally, the user can display an 'alert ' message that will
appear in the top left hand corner of the display that can be used for announcements to
the user community. Password Protection!When ScreenSafer/400 activates after a period of
work-station inactivity, the user can reactivate the their job by pressing the 'Enter'
key. By default this will cause a password entry window to appear where the user is
required to re-enter their AS/400 user password. Load and Go!ScreenSafer/400 installs easily using the IBM provided LODRUN facility. When the standard install options are taken, ScreenSafer/400 will automatically enroll all existing users and any future new users automatically at sign on using default values.
